Acceptable use policy

This states Harvard's policy for acceptable use of the Harvard Link (the "Site") by instructors and staff. By using the Site you are agreeing to comply with this Acceptable Use Policy (the "Policy").

Acceptable use

If you are an instructor or staff member, you may use the Site solely in connection with your teaching of Harvard courses and for your Harvard research as well as any administrative functions related to your job at Harvard.

Regarding the use of syllabi, the Syllabus Explorer policies also apply here.

You may not conduct any systematic or automated data collection activities, including scraping, data mining, data extraction, and data harvesting, on or in relation to the Site.

You may not use the Site in any way that causes, or may cause, damage to the Site or impairment of the availability or accessibility of the Site; or in any way that is unlawful, illegal, fraudulent or harmful; or in connection with any unlawful, illegal, fraudulent or harmful purpose or activity.

You may not submit a public website to the Site through the About me page that prohibits scraping data of that website.

You agree to only submit public websites to the About me page that reasonably reflect your work and expertise.

This Policy may be modified by Harvard from time to time. In that event, the modified Policy will be posted here with a new "Last updated" date.
